Do you hear something?

Do you hear something? Something in the distance, something right in your ear? Do you hear something? Something loud and soft, something eminent and near? Do you hear something? Something that makes your heart ache for something older than time itself? A sound that quickens your breath and widens your eyes as they search for what they have not seen? Tell me, do you hear something? Something as small as a whisper, something mightier than all earth’s mountains? Do you hear the sound of love?

Do you see something?

Do you see something? Something broken and shattered, something in need of it’s Creator’s touch? Do you see something? Something you can’t quite make out yet know exactly what it is? Do you see something? Something that burns your eyes as if staring into the Son, yet you stare anyway because you were made for it? Do you see something? Something like humanity falling into an abyss it created, something like a hand reaching from heaven? Tell me, do you see something? Something that reminds you of your redemptive soul, yet entirely outside your small existence? Do you see the glory of God?

Do you feel something?

Do you feel something? Something wet streaming down your smiling face? Do you feel something? Something like eagerness to get home after having been away for too long? Do you feel something? Something like power filling the air around you, something healing the fragmented souls that roam the earth in search of heaven? Tell me, do you feel something? Something like creation transforming before your very eyes as her husband descends to take her home? Do you feel the coming of Christ?

“And Behold, I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to give to every one according to his work. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End, the First and the Last.

Surely  I am coming quickly!”

~Jesus Christ [Revelation 22:12-13, 20]
